Our Mission
Shared Beat is a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization.
Our mission is to empower children and their families
through health & wellness care and education so they
can achieve self-reliance & a positive future.
What We Do Differently
-Create local healthcare capacity in communities
-Provide year-round continuity & support
-Excellent stewards of resources to ensure sustainability
Focus Area: Guatemala
Why Guatemala?
-Guatemala has the highest child & maternal death rate
in Central America, 6 times that of the United States.
-The literacy rate is 17- 50%, depending upon the area.
-There are 900,000+ child laborers who generate 20%
of the countries GDP.
-The general lack of healthcare and clean water.
-Daily pay is $3.00 to $4.00 per day with an annual
salary of around $2000.
The proper aim of giving is
to put the recipients in a
state where they no longer
need our gifts.
